Paf Internal IT Team is now looking for a DevOps Engineer in Helsinki.
 
About the role
As a DevOps Engineer you will be a key individual working with both in-house and cloud-based services and infrastructure. You will have a lead role in developing and integrating new systems and services, and working with the rest of the organization to implement these according to business needs. Automation is a primary focus, and you will make sure that manual tasks are kept to a minimum. At the same time you are looking for ways to improve the current setup as you see fit.
 
Your qualification:

We are looking for a colleague with previous experience in the following areas:

  • Administration and maintenance of infrastructure on prem or in cloud
  • Windows server environments and some knowledge in programming and/or scripting.
  • TCP/IP & IP routing and commonly used Internet Protocols.
  • Following Security Best Practices

To be successful in this position you...

  • appreciate good communication, have a service minded attitude and are great at cooperating with several stakeholders
  • are self-motivated and act on your own initiative

What you will do: 

Paf are developing ‘bingo’, scratch cards, and slots. The development team consists of: 

  • Backend: three database developers who takes care of Google cloud, Terraform, Randon Numer Genereator (RNG), game outcome, and backoffice.
  • Frontend: A tight team with both programmers and graphic artists who are developing games through all the phases, from idea to release. We are using Java, HTML, CSS, and GWT in order to convert Java to Javascript. Even the game simulations on the server side are developed by the frontend-team, with the help from a database-API from backend. 

You will be part of the team who produces what will be developed, how it will look and function, creation of stories, estimations, sprint planning, development, testing, and release. We have a clear division of work tasks, where every member in the team knows what’s expecting of them. As frontend developer you are expected to have extensive knowledge of the platform, to the extent that you can provide with assessing changes in the architecture and understand the long term effects. You will be working at a high working pace with fast decision-making processes together with senior developers who, in most cases, worked together in over ten years. 

We are looking for you, who:

  • Have an education within media technique or similar 
  • Have good programming skills within Java, or another object oriented language 
  • Have good communication skills in both Swedish and English 
  • Are cooperative
  • Are independent and takes accountability 

It is meriting if you have experience from: 

  • Game development
  • Client-server-architecture
  • Javascript, HTML, CSS, Git, Maven 
  • UX-design

The opportunity
Responsible Gaming is a hot topic when it comes to the gaming industry. We bring our responsible gaming mindset to every level of our business. During your time at Paf you have the possibility to increase your knowledge about the importance of Responsible Gaming (RG) as well as helping us develop our work within this field. You will support other teams, such as giving guidance to our Customer Support team when handling specific customers in regards to responsible gaming. Your work will also contain administrative tasks such as updating data in our internal systems connected to RG. You will also be analyzing statistics and producing visualizations of RG data.
 
This is a maternity leave position from 03.01.2022 - 31.12.2022 with the possibility of extension.

Requirements

  • You have an University degree in any field

Paf Land & Ship Operations is now looking for a Technician to join our team in Stockholm

About the role:

As a Technician you will be one in a team of two technicians that deliver technical support on our partners vessels around the Baltic Sea. The technical support consists of both mechanical and electronic maintenance as well as programming according to agreed values and procedures on our slot machines, amusement games, cash centers, casino equipment and other various systems in our area of expertise. The role also consists of different types of transports when needed.

We are looking for a person who is persistent and able to work under pressure, is cooperative and supports others with an open mind and has high flexibility. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast paced and award-winning industry leader in responsible gaming. This position is located at our Stockholm office in Blasieholmen and is time-limited until 30th September 2022 with the possibility of extension.
