Paf buys bikes for Åland United
Paf has been one of Åland United’s biggest sponsors for many years. The team plays in the highest Finnish National League and the team has been crowned champions twice. Ahead of this new season, Paf has chosen to sponsor the team with 15 new bicycles.
“Åland is a little island and with the bikes we can get anywhere we need to go,” says Anna Westerlund, a defender at Åland United.
“We are really happy with these bikes. It’s a continuation of the environmental commitment that we made last season regarding the Baltic Sea. These bikes are perfect for the environment,” says Anna Tamminen, goalkeeper at Åland United.
Goal is to win the league
Åland United are fully committed to winning the league and the players can’t wait for the league season to start.
“This season is looking really good for us, but we have no idea when the season will start because of the corona virus. At least we can get some extra training in now, while we wait for the season to get underway,” says Anna Westerlund.
The team have already made a strong start
“We want to win matches and we have set our sights on topping the league. It feels like we’ve improved with every game we’ve played this year so far. We have won all our matches in the Finnish Cup and now we are in the semi-finals,” says Anna Tamminen.
“We have a stronger team this year. We have a year more experience and some new players that make us better – so we will win gold in the league this year,” says Anna Westerlund.
