Ålandslåtten – Paf’s celebration of Åland 100 years
During the past year there has been an ongoing celebration for Åland’s 100th year of autonomy. Paf has chosen to participate in the festivities by launching Ålandslåtten. It’s an Åland-inspired scratchcard which was made in collaboration with the local government.
The purpose of the scratchcard is to contribute to the wellness of Åland. Together with Paf the local government has decided which good cause the profit should be donated to. Out of the 10 euros of the scratch card’s price, 1 euro will go to an educational program designed to prevent mental illness among young people.
Improving mental illness
The educational program is called Välbefinnande som ledord and is made for the staff in both daycare and elementary school. The program will help build, develop and strengthen the mental wellbeing within the learning environment for both the kids and the staff. The choice of the donation being made to the program was done by the local government in collaboration with Paf.
“It’s a project which will help prevent mental illness. We want to support the children in daycare and students in elementary school with training in positive psychology,” says Elisabeth Storfors, Head of Education and Culture.
Until the end of summer
The Åland-colored scratchcard will be sold at all Paf’s agents, at Åland, until the end of summer. The amount of the highest jackpot is 15 000 euros. This is the biggest sum Paf has offered on a physical scratchcard. The specially designed scratchcard is a limited edition with an amount of 25 000 units. Ålandslåtten has been for sale since the middle of last year.
