Paf’s partner Finnlines launches new ship
Finnlines new vessel Finnsirius will be launched in September. The ship is a starting point for more passenger traffic onboard Finnlines. Paf will deliver top-class gaming entertainment on board.
In September, Finnlines new vessel Finnsirius will embark on its maiden voyage. The vessel is the first of two new cargo and passenger ships that Finnlines has invested in. The ships also form the basis for a new strategy to increase the number of passengers on board.
“Finnlines is doubling its passenger capacity with the new vessel, which both enables and places higher demands on our on-board gaming entertainment. It is a perfect challenge for us and we are really looking forward to showing our concept to the passengers,” says Lasse Danielsson, Chief Operating Officer Land & Ship.
The new ship offers as many as seven restaurants and bars, a large duty-free shop and high-class lounges.

“Several months of planning with Paf culminated in the third week of September in Naantali, when Paf’s service team was waiting in the harbour on Saturday morning,” says Kristiina Uppala, Head of Customer Service at Finnlines.
The Game Room gaming concept raises the bar
The ship will be the first of Finnlines vessels with a significantly expanded range of gaming entertainment from Paf. All gaming machines on board are new and Paf’s new gaming concept for entertainment games will be a visible part of the whole.
“This is the first time we introduce our new Game Room concept on board a Finnlines ship. The game room, which contains only entertainment and amusement games, will offer something for people of all ages,” says Christian Lundell, Key Account Manager at Paf.
Paf’s servicemen installing and testing the new amusement game Wicked Tuna
“We are pleased with how well Paf has stuck to the schedule and what we agreed upon. The communication has been good and the machines were installed within the agreed time frame. My own personal favourite game is Wicked Tuna,” says Kristiina Uppala.
Finnsirius will operate on the route Naantali (Finland) – Långnäs (Åland) – Kapellskär (Sweden). The vessel has been equipped with environmentally friendly technologies to increase energy efficiency. For example, it has a state-of-the-art hydrodynamic propulsion system and can be docked with zero emissions thanks to a shore power connection and a large battery capacity.
