New contract signed with Finnlines
Paf has signed an agreement with Finnlines regarding their two new ships. Paf will deliver the onboard entertainment for both vessels Finnsirius and Finncanopus. The new ships will start operating in 2023.
Paf has been a long time partner with Finnlines and the partnership has now been extended to include their two new ships. The ferry company Finnlines have invested in two new state of the art vessels, named Finnsirius and Finncanopus to be launched in 2023.
“We are really excited about Finnlines two new ships. We will make sure they get a modern gaming and amusement concept onboard, that is extraordinary for these two new ships,” says Lasse Danielsson, Chief Operating Officer for Paf.
“Paf has been a stable and great partner to have for many years now. We also share a common view on sustainability for our businesses and that is why they are a natural partner for our new ships,” says Thomas Doepel, Vice President & Deputy CEO for Finnlines.
Passenger comfort without hassle
Finnlines has a tradition of being in the forefront when it comes to cargo and logistics. That tradition will continue with the new ships but this time with an extra focus on the passenger experience.
“Our design focus will be on our passengers’ enjoyment, comfort and convenient travel. Our aim is to combine high quality service and passenger comfort without any hassle,” says Kristina Uppala, Onboard NB Concept Development Manager at Finnlines.
“Passenger experience is the name of our game and since we were able to sign the partnership contract early on, we can surely deliver a well thought through entertainment set-up. We already have some plans for a large amusement Game Room onboard,” says Christian Lundell, Key Account Manager for Paf.
Hybrid solutions
The new ships are modern and highly sophisticated ships with several energy saving technologies. The hybrid solution will reduce fuel consumption and allow zero emissions at port stays. The ro-pax ships will be 235 meters long with the capacity to carry 200 cars and 300 lorries per voyage. Besides being able to carry a huge amount of cargo the ships can also carry 1,100 passengers.
