Paf chosen as technology partner by Grand Casino Luzern, as Switzerland releases a handful of online licenses
Paf has been following the regulation of the gaming market in Switzerland for a long time. After an extensive selection process, Paf was chosen as technology partner by Grand Casino Luzern – which received its online licence today.
Grand Casino Luzern will open its online casino gaming site mycasino.ch during the summer. Paf will supply the technical platform, games and operational support.
“This is an excellent opportunity for Paf to bring its know-how and competence in player protection to the Swiss market in the long term. In Switzerland, only land-based casinos have the ability to open an online gaming site,” says Christer Fahlstedt, CEO of Paf.
Grand Casino Luzern
Grand Casino Luzern is a popular Swiss land based casino with a long tradition. Their goal was to find a stable online partner with the right knowledge and a good reputation in the industry.
“Paf will be our strategic know-how partner with the right technology. They have been pioneers in online gaming and we believe that Paf can give us the experience and innovation needed to establish an online casino quickly in the Swiss market,” says Grand Casino Luzern’s CEO Wolfgang Bliem.
“Paf has a long history of stable ownership and they are also well known for their responsible gaming, which makes them an excellent partner for us,” adds Wolfgang Bliem.
The Swiss online gaming market is only accessible to a land-based and licensed Swiss casino. Therefore, the Grand Casino Luzern is responsible for the new online casino site mycasino.ch.
“We are very pleased that Grand Casino Luzern has chosen us as a partner. There is a strong mutual understanding behind the collaboration and I am convinced that together we will succeed well in Switzerland – where only four online gaming licences have been distributed to date,” says Christer Fahlstedt.
The mycasino.ch gaming site is expected to open during the summer.
