Paf invests in sustainability, alongside several other large companies
The network bärkraft.ax coordinates the delivery of Åland’s development and sustainability agenda. Last year a coaching role was created in order to strengthen the work with implementing the agenda.
The coach guides and supports organisations, companies, regions, associations and authorities who want to contribute to a more sustainable society. This role was introduced one year ago and now the Åland-based companies Paf, Wiklöf Holding, Ömsen and Ålandsbanken/Crosskey will partially finance one more sustainability coach for the next 3 years.
“Sustainability is a key focus area for Paf and we see this as a great opportunity to work together with other companies in order to bring the work forward for a more sustainable society,” says Deputy CEO Daniela Johansson, who is also the chairman for a networking group for large, sustainable companies.
The coach supports companies in their sustainability work
The sustainability coach supports organisations in the form of inspiration and coordination and also gives advice on working methods and development processes for sustainability work.
“Thanks to the investments made by Wiklöf Holding, Ömsen, Paf and Ålandsbanken/Crosskeys, the partnership between societies, the business community and the public-sector in bärkraft.ax can be strengthened. Alongside the work of the network group for larger, sustainable companies, the realisation and implementation of the development and sustainability agenda will certainly give extra strength and momentum thanks to this,” says Micke Larsson, principal secretary at bärkraf.ax as well as the sustainability council.
