Paf won two awards at the EGR Nordics Awards

Paf was awarded the Safer Gambling Operator award and the award for the best Diversity & Inclusion model at the EGR Nordics Awards 2023.

The EGR Nordics Awards celebrates the most successful and innovative gaming companies operating in the Nordic region. Paf was shortlisted in two categories at the ceremony and won both awards.

“We are proud that our efforts to strengthen the responsible gaming measures for all young people has been recognised by the industry,” says Jenna Ekström, Responsible Gaming Manager.

During the past year Paf has implemented a mandatory loss limit for young people. The loss limit for all players is set at €20,000 on an annual basis, but it was lowered to €10,000 for people aged 18–24.

“The research on gambling problems and different risk groups generally indicates that young people should be considered as a risk group. That is why we wanted to implement a decisive responsible gaming action, such as a loss limit for young people,” says Daniela Johansson, deputy CEO & Chief Responsibility Officer.

The importance of diversity & inclusion

The Diversity & inclusion model award was a new category that recognises the operator that can demonstrate its commitment to diversity and inclusion. Paf got shortlisted in the category based on the fact that we started the tech education grit:lab and our Equal Opportunities Plan that supports increased diversity and inclusion within Paf.

“The tech education at grit:lab really embraces Paf’s ambition in our plan for equal opportunities. We want to create a culture of inclusiveness for all, where diversity becomes a true asset,” says Daniela Johansson.

Anyone and everyone from all over the world could apply for a spot in tech education at grit:lab. This made education a cultural hotpot with over 20 different nationalities from many different backgrounds. Read more about grit:lab or follow their journey.
