Paf arranges gaming policy discussion in Almedalen

Paf will organize a gaming policy discussion in Almedalen going by the headline “The industry we love to hate”. The discussion will look back at how the reregulation turned out and discuss together with Members of the Parliament their views on the current issues facing the gaming industry.

Almedalsveckan 2022 is held in Visby on Gotland 3-7 July. Paf will arrange a gaming policy discussion on July 6 at 11.30-13.00 onboard the ship Michael Sars in Visby harbor, in collaboration with the Government of Åland. Paf’s CEO Christer Fahlstedt will act as moderator for the discussion.

“We will start with a short discussion about how the reregulation went and then we go into the more current issues in the gaming industry. Gambling policy is not really high on the Swedish election agenda, but we want to raise the issues and I am curious to hear if the parties have some opinions they can share,” says Christer Fahlstedt.

Members of the Parliament & a new gaming policy program

Members of the Parliament Catarina Deremar from the Centre Party, Niklas Wykman from the Moderate Party and Angelica Lundberg from the Sweden Democrats will participate in the discussion. Together with Olof Lavesson, former chairman of the Parliaments Cultural Committee and now Head of Communications for Svenska Postkodlotteriet.

“At Paf, we have fairly clear opinions about the gaming industry’s future and we will present some parts that we believe should be included in a gaming policy program for the future,” says Christer Fahlstedt.
