grit:lab expands to 70 seats
The interest in the new tech education that grit:lab offers has been great. Pafs has therefore chosen to increase the number of study seats available to 70.
The new tech education, grit:lab, will start up for real at the end of August. The two-year education was intended for 50 students, but now Paf has chosen to increase the number of places to 70.
“We had two very successful Piscines (4-week selection process) during the spring where the participants showed strong commitment, willfulness and drive. Since we have found people with high motivation among the participants, we have now made the decision to increase the number of seats in grit:lab,” says Anna-Lena Svenblad, Corporate Development Director for Paf & Co-director for grit:lab.
The decision to expand the education from 50 to 70 students was made by Paf. The tech education and the grit:lab campus is located at Paf’s Head Office on Åland.
“This is a good decision and response to the demand that has arised. There is a big potential in these students and we have decided to give them this great opportunity now. We have space and modern facilities in Paf’s premises where the grit:lab campus is already built up,” says Anna-Lena Svenblad.
Over 20 different countries
At present, all 70 students admitted to the tech program have accepted their study places. The average age is 29 and the number of female students is almost 30%. The students come from more than 20 different countries, including the USA, France, Brazil, Hong Kong, Singapore, Iran, Vietnam, etc. From Åland, the number of students is 24.
“grit:lab has been life-changing for me and it has changed my whole mindset. Now I know that I can do a lot more and together we can do almost anything,” says one of those admitted to grit:lab.
