Tech gathering at the Helsinki office
Paf hosted a Serverless Meetup at its Helsinki Office. The event was fully booked with a long waiting list, as tech people gathered in the office to get the latest insights from some of Paf’s best tech minds.
“It was great to see so many eager tech pros in the office, it really shows that we are at the forefront with tech innovation at Paf,” says Pafs Chief Technology Officer Francois Maugis.
“We got some really good feedback at the event. Based on the feedback we feel that we offered well-reasoned relevant content in every presentation. I think that is because we presented real projects that we have completed or that we are still working with,” says Paf’s tech lead Rami Rantala
Everything in the cloud
The main topic at the meetup was about serverless cloud technologies. How to use computing skills and manage development-based services in the cloud.
“Cloud based serverless technology really allows us to speed up development. At the same time there is an enormous possibility for scalability. This gives us a huge potential in our line of work,” say Francois Maugis.
Rami Rantala talked about how Paf is running serverless and datacenter applications together.
“We are in a hybrid mode at Paf so we need to make both systems work together. It would not be smart to move all systems at once to the serverless based cloud,” says Rami Rantala.
Paf is seeking curious software engineers
Paf is looking to expand as a tech company in our Nordic offices.
“We need software engineers that are really into learning new skills and curious about new stuff,” says Rami Rantala.
Paf will arrange more tech meetups in the future, the next event will probably be during winter time in February. Keep an eye out for that and we hope to see you there!
